Check out the spectacular mountain views, alpine forests, and wildflower meadows while learning about local wildlife on these naturalist-guided walks or hikes on Snowmass Mountain. Averaging between two and three hours, these adventures are an ideal introduction to Snowmass' extensive trail system. A lift ticket is required for the chairlift for walks. Weather can change rapidly. Please dress appropriately.

Nature Trail Walk

The Snowmass Balloon Festival

The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon events in the country. Highlights include a specialized Kid's Zone and the Saturday evening glow, barbeque, and free concert where brightly colored balloons light up the night sky and twinkle on and off like starts. The final Snowmass Rodeo of the season and the last free Fanny Hill Thursday night concert highlight this week in Snowmass Village.

The Wednesday evening rodeo, which begins at 5 p.m. in the Snowmass Rodeo Grounds, features the finals in events such as team roping, barrel racing and the always popular bull riding.
